First time using this and it ruined five clothing items. There was a sharp edge in the wash basin that needed to be sanded down. The customer service was awful, as they only cover their products and not damage to my items. Very disappointed in the response. The local store was much more concerned and apologetic and did fix the sharp piece, but the response from Speed Queen left a lot to be desired.

We switched to Speed Queen because the machines from the big box store would only last 7 years, then would require a repair that cost more than the machine. Speed Queen's 5-7 year warranty out of the box had me sold. Machine is nice and quiet and laundry comes out nice and clean.

My beloved Red LG washer was on life support The home warranty company was debating repair or replace. I'm mind I knew it wasn't going to continue. It sounded like a plane taking off and at the end of the spin cycle there would be smoke. I was getting tired of being on standby with a fire hydrant so I began to shop. I like nice things. I decided despite reviews that the GE combo washer dryer would be a good fit for my home with three dogs. Not. But I wanted to see it and touch it. I went to Brandsmart since it was on the way home and they have good finance offers. It is a there that my hands touched the black Speed Queen. I immediately fell in love. It looked and felt different than anything else on the floor. So I endured a few more days of standby with fire hydrant until home warranty company have last rites. Since buying my set I will have to say that we have used it like a commercial washer and dryer. We look for things to wash. My senior dog who leaks allows us to wash her bedding daily. This machine is sexy and small and quiet. I am still in love.

TR7 Biggest Disappointment

We recently had to purchase a new washer and dryer. Our 8 year old Maytag Bravo XL needed replaced. We looked into speedqueen because we were tired of having to replace other brands every 7-8 years, some a little sooner. And 20+ years sounded like a great deal. After recommendations from a couple different appliance shops, and a couple different friends who own older ones, we pulled the trigger. We went with the TR7 It is truly the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned! Horrible cleaning! Clothes that came out clean in other units were now coming out with stains that didn't come out. Or having to wash same load multiple times. Plus for some reason, my work shirts are the dri wick golf style shirts, and this machine destroyed them. After close to a month, my wife also mentioned how she felt like we made a mistake. She hated the TR7 also. So our local appliance shop let us return them for something else. So either we just happened to get defective units, or the TR7 is not nearly as good as others.

Speen Queen buyer for a long time although don't have to purchase very often!! I bought one of their first digital display/control washers and was concerned about the life of electronic devices like displays. It is around 8 years old and runs and looks like new. So for my home down south I bought a new TR7 and it looks just as heavy duty/quality look and performs well. Very quiet and easy to set up controls for your wash requirements.

I really like the simplicity of this machine. My appliance repair man suggested this brand because it is made in the USA and a fabulous warranty. Parts are also easy to come by. My only complaint is softner is often left in the bottom of the tub after the wash is completed. I'm also sorry I bought the top loader because now I can't do comforters.

This is our second TR7 series washer in matter of 3 months. Our first unit went out in the first month of ownership... It had a bad electrical board and we had substanial squealing sounds within the last 4mins of the spin cycle. The dealer we purchased the unit from replaced it. Within the first month, the second new unit started making the same loud squealing noise during the last 4min of the spin cycle. If you search "Speed Queen TR7 squealing" you will find a Reddit thread and TikTok videos of consumers with the same issues we have had. This has been a nightmare. Worst appliance purchase we've made. We were so excited because of the Speed Queen name, but it's been a major let down. We are still having issues and are having no luck with Speed Queen service providers. If I were to do it again, I would likely not buy Speed Queen or I would buy something in the TC series.

I have had my new Speed Queen TR700 for a few months. It took me a little while to get used to it but I am extremely happy I found this brand. I chose the TR700 because I wanted a very gentle cycle to be able to wash delicates. This one has it. I went to Youtube and was able to watch videos of the two different machines. There are many videos on how each cycle runs and I was able to see the delicate cycle in action. The TR500's delicate cycle was not slow enough for what I wanted. I am thinking of getting the dryer too. I bought mine at brandsmart and have had no issues. Really hoping it last for as long as they claim. I use the autofill option most of the time. Love how it determines the ideal level of water. Also love that I can fill it to the rim. This company should make a bigger drum for large families. The size may be a deterrent for large families. I am able to wash my Queen size comforter with no problems and I have washed two pillows and some other items without an issue. Also, it really makes my clothes smell fresher. My only complaint is the lid lock. I hate it and it is a pain in my tush. The lid lock should only lock on spin cycle.

I had to either fix or replace my 4 1/2 year old Maytag which was supposed to be a top of the line heavy duty machine - the gear case failed which appears to be a common failure and Maytag knows about it, but won't stand behind it. I had heard of Speed Queen so I started researching. It was nice to find out many of the parts in their commercial machines for commercial use and laundromats was also in the home consumer product. From the first load of laundry, I could tell immediately that the Speed Queen machine was a much more solid, well built machine that my Maytag. It was worth the extra money. I can also tell that my clothes are coming out cleaner. And can't beat that this model comes with a seven year parts and labor warranty.

Don't waste your time on anything else!! I've been through LG, GE, and Maytag. I loved my LG but it started making noises after 4 years pkus it smelled and yes I washed the washer monthly. GE, had for a few days....NOPE, no water. Maytag lasted 2 years, but we hated it from the get go!! No water washed the clothes. They thought the clothes swishing around against eachother was good enough, NOPE. Speed queen, my son (11 yo) even noticed his clothes smelled so much better. Speed queen uses water to clean the clothes. What a concept, What a difference!!

I was in the market for a new washing machine; I was not happy with my old washer which would rarely finish a load of laundry without me having to resort the clothes. I did everything I could to fix the other washer even upgrading the suspension rods. It was better for a bit but not great. So, when we went into the market for a new washer (my husband was tired of me saying 'I hate that washer" when I heard the familiar bumping when it was off balance), we decided on the Speed Queen due to the reviews. I've had the washer for a few months now and I am not disappointed! The washer is so quiet and I have never had to re-sort the clothes because of balancing issues. Now while I have zero regrets about getting this washer, I will say that I wish they had larger drum options for people like me who like to do all their laundry on one day. Also, I would not say that this washer cleans better than any other washer I have ever owned but the wash cycles are also shorter. Overall Value: The price point is a bit more than any other washer brand on the market. That being said, I have ZERO regrets about paying the higher price. It is shocking how quiet this washer is when it is in wash and spin cycle. The wash cycles are also shorter than any other machine I have used; I remember the first load in my washer - it was shocking how fast the machine worked and that I didn't hear a single bit of noise. I didn't even realize when the cycle ended. Overall, it can be daunting to buy a new washer especially when the price is so much more than the other washers out there - but once you do one load of worry-free laundry and the machine does what it is supposed to do without any interference from you - that peace of mind is so worth it!
